Abbott Laboratories Limited operates a Centre of Excellence in Witney, focusing on electrode and biosensor manufacturing for diabetes care. The Controls Engineer will support the manufacturing area, applying advanced control systems to motion control equipment, PLCs, HMIs, and automation projects.

You will collaborate with the engineering team, diagnose faults, and implement improvements while adhering to strict quality and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with automation projects and complex automation solutions.
• Track record of fault finding and modification to PLC/HMI/Motion Control in automated machinery.
• Exposure to Siemens S7/TIA Portal and Allen Bradley Studio 5000 is essential.
• Oracle database knowledge would be advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Provide innovative problem-solving approaches to control systems within manufacturing.
• Collaborate with engineering colleagues across the manufacturing area.
• Debug issues, interpret PLC codes, and aid continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain procedures and accurate documentation in a highly regulated environment.
