Job summary

Abbott in Witney (United Kingdom) is seeking an Engineer, Project Management within the Operations Engineering team to introduce bespoke automated machines and validate them for production use in the biosensor manufacturing facility.

You will own validation strategies, create project plans, manage risks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to deliver validated equipment. This role offers growth toward senior engineering levels and hands-on technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of HNC in Engineering discipline, with preference for degree-level education
• Proven experience in Project Engineering, preferably Automated Machinery
• Technical project management of projects
• A passion for problem-solving
• Curiosity, technical rigour and continuous improvement mindset
• Strong documentation discipline
• Collaborative mindset with willingness to mentor others
• Awareness and understanding of regulated environments

Responsibilities

• Create a project plan with timelines, risks and stakeholder communications
• Deliver validated production machines and support testing/validation
• Develop validation tests and execute process equipment validations
• Lead projects and participate in cross-functional teams and with suppliers
• Occasionally visit supplier sites as required
