Abbott Laboratories Limited in Witney is seeking a Project Engineer to lead the validation of bespoke automated machines for production and inspection within our Biosensor manufacturing Centre of Excellence. You’ll collaborate across functions to deliver validated equipment and develop new validation tests, with the possibility of supervisor responsibilities for select engineers.

Qualifications

• A minimum of HNC in Engineering discipline, with preference given to degree level education
• Proven experience in Project Engineering, with preference to Automated Machinery
• Technical project management of your projects
• A passion for problem‑solving
• Curiosity, technical rigour, and an eye for continuous improvement
• Strong documentation discipline
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to mentor others
• An awareness and understanding of regulated environments

Responsibilities

• Create a project plan to deliver the work to the business, considering timelines, risk assessment and stakeholder communication
• Be connected to the changes your project introduces and understand the benefits to the business
• Deliver validated machines into Production for manufacturing and inspection, and validate they function as required
• Lead on managing projects, develop new validation tests, and execute equipment validations
• Occasionally visit supplier sites as part of project delivery
