Job summary

Thermo Systems is seeking a Control Systems Engineer (BMS) to design and deliver PLC, SCADA, BMS and EPMS solutions for mission-critical projects. You will develop architectures, review software, and support commissioning across remote and site-based assignments, with travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years' experience in controls engineering, automation, or control system integration.
• Experience on complex industrial, life sciences, or mission-critical projects.
• Good knowledge of PLC, SCADA, BMS, and EPMS systems (Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, Ignition).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop PLC, SCADA, BMS, and EPMS systems for mission-critical projects.
• Produce and review control system architecture, software, and technical documentation.
• Execute assigned engineering tasks, ensuring delivery to schedule, quality, scope and budget.
• Support system integration, FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities including validation, troubleshooting and optimisation.
• Identify and resolve technical issues across software, hardware, and system interfaces.
• Support value engineering initiatives to optimise cost, performance, and reliability.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards, tools, and processes.
• Maintain clear communication on task status and elevate risks or out-of-scope items.
