Job summary

Clear is recruiting a Data Centre Controls Engineer to maintain SCADA and PLC systems in mission-critical data centres. The role is home-based with regular travel to data centres across London and the Southeast, offering a flexible and rewarding environment for an experienced engineer.

You will work with Ignition-based front-ends, Trend BMS, and PLCs, collaborating with sales, delivery, and R&D to design tailored, high-reliability control solutions and ensure maximum system uptime.

Qualifications

• Engineer and maintain SCADA and PLC systems in data centres, fault diagnosis and repair of Ignition-based front-ends.
• Deliver expert BMS (Trend) and PLC maintenance for uptime and regulatory compliance.
• Perform site surveys and document data to enable accurate task execution and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales, delivery, and R&D to translate client needs into control solutions.
• Support pre-sales estimating, solution development, and ongoing system optimisation.
• Provide exceptional, professional customer-facing support and maintain long-term client trust.
