Job summary

Thermo Systems LLC is seeking a Senior Controls Design Engineer (Preconstruction) to design, develop and deliver complex control system solutions across BMS, PMS, SCADA and OT. You will work with Sales to review bids, validate requirements and identify gaps, while supporting IFC page-turns and design governance.

You will remain hands-on with control system architectures, software development and commissioning, contributing to lessons learned and engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in electrical/mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years’ experience in controls engineering, automation, or design engineering.
• Experience on complex industrial or mission-critical projects.
• Experience across design, integration, commissioning and preconstruction phases.
• Ability to review technical specs, design docs and project scope.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver complex control system solutions across BMS, PMS, SCADA and OT.
• Review bids, validate technical requirements and identify scope gaps.
• Support design governance, IFC pages and submittals.
• Lead or support design reviews and technical submittal reviews.
• Configure PLCs and industrial controls platforms; support FAT, SAT and commissioning.
• Collaborate with Sales, PMO and engineering teams to align scope and delivery.
