Job summary
MARCH in Daresbury, Cheshire, is seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer to lead design, development and commissioning of advanced automation across diverse industries. You will guide projects from concept to handover and mentor junior engineers.
The role requires a degree in control, automation or electrical engineering, Chartered status being desirable, and at least six years' experience. Strong leadership and client communication are essential.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience leading control and automation projects.
- MIET membership and Chartered status desirable.
- Minimum 6 years' experience in control and automation.
- Track record delivering control solutions across multiple industries.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects through lifecycle ensuring on-time delivery.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring.
- Build client relationships through clear technical communication.
- Develop, configure and test control system software.
- Conduct testing and commissioning in live environments.
- Maintain high engineering standards and safety.
- Work within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Ensure compliance with Integrated Management System.
- Support continuous improvement and community development.
