Job summary

The Blue Barrel PTE. LTD. is seeking a Contracts Manager to oversee commercial and contractual aspects of the main contract and subcontracts for a major project in Loyang, Singapore.

The role focuses on managing commercial risk, claims, and stakeholder coordination across all project stages. Candidate requirements include a degree in Built Environment, 10+ years in contract negotiation and administration, and proven experience in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Must have degree in Built Environment or related fields.
• In-depth knowledge of PSSCOC; familiarity with SIA, REDAS and NEC is advantageous.
• Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in contract negotiation, administration and management.
• Must have worked in Singapore for at least 5 years.
• High level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and a result-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Provides contractual advisory and support from the commercial perspective to the project through all stages: construction, subcontracting, completion and handover.
• Proactively engages in continuous improvement and review of existing processes, systems and policies that may support the project’s contract management and administration.
• Identifies, assesses and manage /advise on contractual risk
• Manages contractual claims, disputes, settlements and resolution
• Possesses interpersonal skills to manage internal and external stakeholders, thinks strategically and critically, exercising judgement after consideration for all aspects.
• Possesses analytical andproblem-solving skills.
