Job summary

AKF Decorating is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to take ownership of painting and decorating projects from tender handover to completion. Based between the AKF office and active project sites, you will manage delivery, oversee safety, budget, and programme, and lead teams on site.

The role requires strong leadership, commercial awareness, and effective communication with clients and stakeholders. Hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm, with a 30-minute lunch break.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering painting and decorating projects.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Excellent communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices on site.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of projects from handover to completion.
• Oversee workforce planning, progress, quality and safety.
• Build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Maintain site records and project management systems.
• Ensure safety compliance and support accreditation.
• Assist tender prep, material orders, and labour planning.
• Lead operational meetings and report to senior management.
• Drive process improvements.
