Job summary

AKF Decorating is a trusted painting and decorating company with over 20 years of experience delivering residential and commercial projects in Manchester and surrounding areas.

This Contracts Manager role leads delivery of painting and decoration works from handover to completion, coordinating operatives, materials, and clients to ensure quality, safety, and on-time performance. Based between the office and project sites, it offers weekday hours and opportunities to impact growing projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in painting and decorating trades or interior fit-out trades.
• Contract management on multiple projects concurrently.
• Ability to lead teams and communicate with clients.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage full operational delivery of projects from handover to completion.
• Oversee workforce planning, project progress, quality, and safety standards.
• Build strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
• Monitor Health & Safety compliance and support accreditation requirements.
• Support tender preparation, material ordering, labour planning, and project setup.
• Lead operational meetings and provide updates to senior management.
• Drive improvements to processes and ways of working.
