Job summary

SSE plc is seeking a Senior Contract Manager to join the Procurement and Commercial team supporting the RIIO T3 Onshore Capital Delivery programme. The role reports to the Procurement & Commercial Manager and provides pre and post contract procurement and commercial support for large projects.

You will come from a Quantity Surveying background, with client or contractor experience; NEC/FIDIC familiarity preferred. Expect 50% travel to Aberdeen, Glasgow, Inverness and Perth.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent required.
• Professional membership (RICS/CICES) preferred or in progress.
• Experience in commercial governance for large capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate contract terms and prices for multi-million projects (£20M–£500M).
• Lead commercial teams and manage change and disputes.
• Oversee cost reporting and forecast management.
• Ensure post-contract commercial management aligns with project goals.
