Job summary

The Mick George Group is recruiting a Contracts Manager for the Earthworks division. Location varies across Mick George contracting sites nationwide. Working hours are 6am-6pm; Saturdays as required.

Pay is dependent on experience. The role requires leadership across multiple projects, with a strong focus on safety, quality and commercial performance. Responsibilities include strategic direction, client relationship management, and overseeing delivery, costs, and contract compliance while

Qualifications

• At least 5 years' experience in Earthworks/Civils contract management.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental laws.
• Experience with NEC4/JCT contracts.
• Competent with Microsoft 365 suite.
• CSCS Black Card.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across multiple earthworks and stabilisation projects.
• Deliver projects safely, on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across the division.
• Manage contract compliance, valuations, cost forecasting and final accounts.
• Support negotiation and administration of NEC, JCT and bespoke contracts.
• Oversee project delivery, quality assurance and programme performance.
• Lead safety, environmental and sustainability initiatives and investigations.
• Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and subcontractors.
