Job summary

Facilities management intrapreneur ltd in Slough is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to own a portfolio of building services maintenance contracts across London and the South East. You will lead engineering teams, manage P&L and client relationships, and ensure compliant, profitable service delivery.

The role demands ownership, front‑line leadership, and strong collaboration with operations, scheduling, finance and HR to drive performance across sites.

Qualifications

• GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Mathematics.
• Proven experience managing building services maintenance contracts.
• Mechanical and/or electrical building services background.
• Demonstrated experience managing and developing engineering teams.
• Strong experience in client relationship management.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of a portfolio of building services contracts, overseeing mobilisation, PPM delivery, reactive works and additional works.
• Build, maintain and grow strong client relationships through regular communication, meetings and site visits.
• Manage contract performance against budgets, service levels and profit margins.
• Retain and develop the client portfolio, identifying opportunities to add value and grow the account.
• Review engineer reports and approve quotations for remedial and additional works.
• Manage subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, compliantly and to a high standard.
• Ensure all contractual, operational and compliance documentation is completed accurately and on time.
• Take full responsibility for health & safety across the contract portfolio, ensuring compliance with statutory and internal requirements.
• Lead, manage and develop engineers, setting clear objectives and driving performance.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and induction of engineers and direct reports.
• Act as a senior escalation point for operational or client issues, providing clear leadership and effective resolution.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams including operations, scheduling, finance and HR.
