Job summary

Volta is seeking a Contracts Manager who will own Volta's contracting strategy across general contractor, package and vendor agreements on data centre and major capital projects. You will set standard forms and term sheets and lead negotiations with suppliers and project leadership.

This role requires experience across multiple jurisdictions, strong negotiation and claims management, and the ability to coach contracts leads embedded in project teams.

Qualifications

• Contracts leadership on data centre or major capital projects is essential.
• Deep experience of construction contracting models and standard forms across international markets.
• A strong record in negotiation and claims management on complex builds.
• Experience working across multiple jurisdictions and governing to standard.
• Sound commercial judgement under delivery pressure.
• The credibility to lead functionally across embedded project teams.
• Willingness to travel across sites.

Responsibilities

• Own Volta's contracting strategy across general contractor, package and vendor agreements.
• Set standard contract forms, flow-downs and commercial terms across the fleet.
• Lead major negotiations alongside procurement and project leadership.
• Provide functional leadership to the contracts leads embedded in each project team.
• Build claims avoidance practice and manage disputes when they arise.
• Run commercial governance, delegations and approvals across projects.
• Keep contracting standards compliant across multiple jurisdictions.
