Job summary

Millbank Holdings Ltd is seeking a Contracts Engineer to lead piling and ground engineering projects across the UK. The role covers planning, design coordination and site delivery, ensuring safe, compliant and high-quality execution.

You will collaborate with project managers, design engineers and site teams to drive successful project outcomes, manage documentation, and uphold Health, Safety and Environmental standards throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil engineering, piling or ground engineering.
• Experience delivering civil engineering contracts across various project types.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead, coordinate and influence multidisciplinary teams.
• Good commercial awareness and cost control knowledge.
• Strong Health, Safety and Environmental understanding.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
• Valid CSCS card.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage piling and ground engineering elements across planning, design coordination and construction phases.
• Develop, review and manage project plans, specifications, construction drawings and delivery documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, design engineers, site teams and stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
• Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with specifications, quality standards and regulations.
• Ensure engineering and construction activities align with industry standards and best practice.
• Identify, manage and mitigate project risks throughout the lifecycle.
• Coordinate internal teams and subcontractors to optimise resource planning and project performance.
• Ensure works comply with contractual obligations, design requirements and project management plans.
• Prepare and manage statements, risk assessments, ITPs, Work Package Plans and associated documentation.
• Support project planning and scheduling, monitor progress and recommend corrective actions where required.
• Promote strong Health, Safety and Environmental standards across all activities.
• Maintain accurate project records, including as-built documentation, O&M manuals and handover information.
