Job summary

Swindon Borough Council is seeking a Service Lead, Commissioning and Contracts to oversee inspection, commissioning and contract management for void repairs, housing and maintenance. You will manage end-to-end contracts, drive performance, and ensure value-for-money while coordinating with procurement, finance and voids teams.

The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder engagement and a solid grasp of CDM 2015, JCT/NEC contracts, and housing compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading inspection, commissioning or contract management in void repairs, housing or maintenance.
• Experience managing contracts and contractor performance.
• Confident overseeing budgets, service delivery and stakeholder relationships.
• Relevant property, construction or contract management qualification and health & safety qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead inspection and commissioning activity for repairs.
• Take full accountability for contract management and contractor performance from mobilisation through to renewal or closure.
• Monitor contractor performance through KPIs, SLAs and contractual measures.
• Manage contractor spend and drive value-for-money using national fed rates.
