Yusen Logistics (UK) Ltd in Northampton hires a Contract Manager to run GP2 site, drive operational excellence, nurture customer relationships, and lead teams with integrity.

You will manage P&L, supervise warehouse operations including automated site, ensure quality and safety standards, and push continuous improvement with Kaizen principles.

The role offers a competitive salary (£45,000-£55,000) with a 10% bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Significant management experience in warehousing operations.
• Proven track record of driving improvement initiatives.
• Experience with automated sites and WMS.
• Budget responsibility and contractual understanding.
• Strong communication and customer relationship skills.
• IT skills: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Ability to travel to customer premises.

Responsibilities

• P&L responsibility for site cost centres and direct warehouse management.
• Lead customer service and escalation management with clear communication.
• Mentor and develop team; maintain org charts and job descriptions.
• Lead Health & Safety agenda; chair monthly meetings and ensure compliance.
• Identify efficiency improvements and new revenue opportunities; Kaizen and Right First-Time.
• Analyse quality management systems and drive continuous improvement.
