Job description

This role offers a competitive salary, hybrid working (London - hybrid working, 1-2 office days per week including every Tuesday), 28 days holiday a year plus Bank Holidays and a fantastic pension scheme offering 6% in year one and 11% after this.

This is a fixed-term role for 12 months commencing on 1 July 2025. There may be potential in the future for the role to be extended or become permanent, dependent on your performance and suitability, as well as the business needs.

About the role

We're searching for an outstanding, commercially-minded senior digital content writer, to research and write shopping, recommendations and deals content optimised for affiliate and e-commerce journeys for Which.co.uk. Working with our wider team of topic-specialist editors, writers and researchers this role plays a pivotal role in helping our sizeable consumer audience choose the right products and services for their needs, and then complete their journey to the relevant retailer, provider or service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Research, create and iterate high-quality SEO-optimised content for Which.co.uk and email channels to ensure performance goals are met and users are presented with the highest quality independent content.
  • Continually interrogate, monitor and share content performance results and use these to recommend next steps and iterations of consumer shopping content.
  • Writing impactful email newsletters during key buying periods to highlight Which?'s reviews and advice, with the aim of driving traffic to key pages and increasing revenue.
  • Work with stakeholders across the business to drive engagement in key topic areas at the right time, including sharing formats with social teams and liaising with commercial teams to ensure the best buying journeys.
  • Identify opportunities for new content formats and topics to support the business in increasing revenue from affiliate and partnership activities.

About you:

We're looking for a digital content writer with proven flair for supporting affiliate/e-commerce journeys though high quality, well researched consumer-focused content.

  • Demonstrable prowess and passion for helping audiences navigate consumer choices through compelling news and advice content such as gift guides and product deals round ups.
  • Ability to interrogate digital content performance data using platforms such as GA4, Looker and Google Search Control. Knowledge of systems such as Tableau and Trackonomics is a bonus but not a necessity.
  • Experience creating SEO optimised content, including the ability to identify SEO trends and opportunities.
  • Able to produce high quality content at pace and manage multiple short and long term content projects.
  • Positivity, drive and a hawk-like eye for detail.

The interview process for this role involves:-

  • One hour interview via Microsoft Teams, and one hour practical task.
