Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is seeking a Squad Lead & Lead Content Designer for a 12-month fixed-term contract in London. You will lead a multidisciplinary design squad, champion Content Design, and collaborate across product, risk, legal, and engineering to deliver customer-focused experiences.

You’ll shape guidelines, translate complex financial concepts into clear copy, and work in a hybrid environment with flexibility to support accessibility and brand voice across channels.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience leading a design team in an agile environment.
• Ability to bring different disciplines together around clear customer outcomes.
• Confidence representing the squad across the platform and aligning with priorities.
• Experience embedding Content Design as part of product development.
• A portfolio showing customer-centred outcomes and business impact.
• Experience using design tools such as Figma.
• Ability to influence stakeholders across product, risk, legal and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day design leadership to a multidisciplinary squad, clarifying priorities and outcomes.
• Represent the squad within the platform, manage dependencies and align with Lab priorities.
• Help lead the content design discipline across the platform.
• Collaborate with other squad leads and bring specialist content depth to decisions.
• Translate complex financial concepts into clear, accessible customer experiences.
• Support other content designers to create engaging, accessible copy for digital experiences.
• Shape Content Design guidelines and workflows; lead on copy, brand voice and tone.
• Demonstrate deep customer insight to inform irresistible digital experiences.
• Champion accessibility, inclusion, plain language, and appropriate branding.
