Baringa in London is seeking an experienced Consultant/Senior Consultant for our GB Power Markets advisory focused on flexibility technologies, including battery storage and long duration energy storage. You will analyse GB wholesale, Balancing Mechanism and capacity markets and present clear, data-driven insights to senior clients.

The role offers a collaborative environment, hybrid working, and opportunities to shape investment decisions valued in billions of pounds annually.

Qualifikationen

• Good working knowledge of GB power markets, including wholesale, balancing, reserve and capacity markets.
• Ability to structure presentations and translate technical analysis for senior stakeholders.
• Foundational Python and SQL skills for data analysis and modelling.
• Experience with investment models or valuations is desirable.

Aufgaben

• Apply knowledge of GB wholesale, Balancing Mechanism, reserve and response markets to due diligence on flexibility investments.
• Manage and interpret quantitative models to assess asset revenues and investment cases for flexible power assets.
• Contribute to client-facing engagements, shaping analysis and presenting recommendations.
• Monitor regulatory and market developments in GB flexibility and translate into practical client implications.
