Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience across UK power, flexibility or energy markets.
• Strong knowledge of BESS, flexibility and energy storage.
• Understanding Balancing Mechanism, ancillary services, wholesale markets and revenue stacking.
• Experience with asset optimisation, dispatch, route-to-market or flexibility platforms.
• Advanced Excel; Python, SQL, Power BI or optimisation tools beneficial.
• Ability to translate market data into clear commercial recommendations.

Senior Energy Analyst - Flexibility & BESS

Location: London, hybrid

I’m working with a leading energy and flexibility business looking to appoint a Senior Energy Analyst with strong experience across UK power markets, BESS and flexible energy.

This role will sit at the intersection of market analysis, commercial optimisation and flexible asset performance, supporting decisions around how batteries and other flexible assets participate across UK power markets.

The role

• Analyse UK wholesale, balancing and ancillary service markets
• Assess BESS and flexibility revenue opportunities across multiple markets
• Support asset optimisation and route-to-market strategy
• Build and interrogate commercial, forecasting and optimisation models
• Analyse asset performance, market trends and revenue drivers
• Produce recommendations for commercial, trading and senior stakeholders

What we’re looking for
