Job summary

The NHS Trust Swindon pathology department is seeking a consultant pathologist to join a well‑established team. You will lead senior clinicians, deliver high‑quality cellular pathology services, and contribute to education and supervision of junior colleagues.

Applicants should be fully GMC registered with eligibility for CCT/CESR, and have broad expertise across hematopathology, gynecological, GI, or related subspecialties. The role emphasises staff wellbeing and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Fully registered with GMC and eligible for consultant appointment.
• Experience leading a multi‑professional team and delivering clinical care.
• Active participation in audits and service improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of senior medical staff and trainees.
• Drive service improvements and training within the department.
• Maintain clinical care standards and priority management.
• Collaborate across disciplines to ensure patient‑centered pathology services.
