University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Anaesthetist to join the Queen's Hospital Burton anaesthetic department. The role covers a broad portfolio with opportunities to shape services, teach, and participate in governance and research.

Qualifikationen

• MBBS/MBChB or equivalent
• FRCA or equivalent higher qualification (i.e FCARCSI)
• Life Support Qualifications ALS
• Full GMC registration with a license to practice
• GMC Specialist Register for Anaesthetics Specialty OR within 6 months of CCT
• Additional higher medical/scientific degree relevant to the specialty
• Training Qualification

Aufgaben

• Provide independent consultant anaesthetic care across a wide range of surgical specialties.
• Participate in the 1:18 out-of-hours consultant on-call rota.
• Work with surgical, theatre, critical care and multidisciplinary teams.
• Supervise and teach resident doctors and medical students.
• Engage in clinical governance, audits and service development.
• Contribute to protocols, guidelines and new ways of working.
• Opportunity to pursue research and development aligned to interests.

Ausbildung
