Qualifications

• Consultant anaesthetist with broad scope across general surgery, trauma, orthopaedics and obstetrics.
• Commitment to education, training, clinical governance and continuous improvement.
• Ability to contribute to service development, research and quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent consultant anaesthetic care across a wide range of surgical specialties.
• Participate in the 1:18 on-call rota for consultants.
• Collaborate with surgical, theatre, critical care and multidisciplinary teams.
• Supervise and train resident doctors, medical students and other healthcare professionals.
• Contribute to clinical governance, audit and service development.
• Support development of new protocols, guidelines and ways of working.
• Engage in research, innovation and development aligned to personal interests.
