Job summary

Tata Steel in Port Talbot is seeking an experienced Level 4 Construction Scheduler on a fixed term basis. The successful candidate will hold PMI scheduling credentials and APM MQ/PPQ, EVM and PPC certifications and will manage Level 4 schedules within a multi‑disciplinary project team. Hours are 36.5 per week, Monday to Friday, onsite at Port Talbot SA13 2NG.

Qualifications

• Educated to HND/NVQ and/or Degree in STEM.
• PMI-SP credential.
• APM MQ or PPQ qualification.
• APM EVM certification.
• APM PPC certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Full UK driving licence and access to vehicle.
• Good IT literacy including MS Office.
• Basic knowledge of project planning tools.
• Experience forecasting and delivering on multi‑disciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and updating Level 4 construction schedules aligned to Level 3 master schedule.
• Monitoring progress, updating schedules and resolving scheduling issues with stakeholders.
• Developing and finalising Level 4 commissioning schedules and integrating with master schedule.
• Coordinating with project teams to gather information, update schedules and track milestones.
• Monitoring site progress, identifying delays and risks to improve delivery.
• Supporting contractor payments through validation against Level 4 schedules and contracts.
• Managing schedule changes and project communication via change control.
• Producing regular progress, trend and issue reports.
• Using Primavera P6, MS Project and other scheduling tools.
