Full Job Description

Location: Guildford - Full time site based position

The Senior Project Manager will report to the Divisional Director on this exciting healthcare project, which is currently at procurement stage. The project exceeds £10M and involves a new build on an existing site. You will be responsible for Mechanical or Electrical building services on site.

You should have a comprehensive understanding of the full project lifecycle, including contract obligations, procurement, commercial aspects, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Read drawings & specifications and extract all information for accurate costing.
2. Conduct inductions for personnel, carry out daily briefs, toolbox talks, prepare and issue RAMS, monitor H&S plans.
3. Prepare and issue technical submissions for major orders, monitor stock materials, assist site supervisor with procurement, oversee deliveries, and manage hire equipment when applicable.
4. Liaise with subcontractors & specialists, coordinate works, troubleshoot issues.
5. Monitor project progress and report to Main Contractor / Client / Operations Manager.
6. Ensure high standards are maintained, implement and monitor the company's IMS systems.
7. Attend company/department meetings, prepare and contribute to project/client progress reports.
8. Arrange, schedule, and monitor commissioning/testing of equipment & systems, ensuring records are retained for O&M.
9. Prepare information for manuals, including 'as installed' drawings, building logbooks, and operational guides.
10. Maintain strong communication with the delivery team, providing relevant and timely reports to the Operations Manager.
11. Build and maintain good relationships with the project site team, clients, end users, and maintenance teams.
12. Manage site personnel professionally and courteously.
13. Liaise with design teams, consultants, and clients, providing relevant information and responses.
14. Oversee all aspects of H&S, procurement, and delivery.

Key skills and experience required:

4. Experience working client-facing in Healthcare or similar sectors.
