Job summary

Sizewell C is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead the development and delivery of procurement strategies for the Civil Works Alliance (CWA) in support of the Sizewell C project. You will engage with suppliers, manage subcontractor procurement and ensure governance and nuclear regulatory compliance.

This role includes leading a procurement team, driving value, maintaining supplier databases, and supporting local SME engagement and Meet the Buyer events.

Qualifications

• Experience in the construction industry with knowledge of interfaces and relationships.
• Ability to plan and structure procurement resources with mixed experience.
• Deliver robust procurement strategies for large-scale projects.
• Measured decision making and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Demonstrable value added through procurement activity.
• Membership or chartership in a relevant professional body.

Responsibilities

• Implement procurement strategy as directed by the senior procurement manager.
• Deliver project procurement objectives and requirements.
• Support tendering, market analysis, supplier selection, risk assessments.
• Provide market intelligence, cost advice and performance feedback.
• Lead a team of procurement professionals, including training and development.
• Ensure compliance with project governance and nuclear regulations.
• Develop supplier database linked to Compete For and manage engagement.
• Monitor markets and optimize procurement strategies to maximise value.
