Job summary

Watkin Jones is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead a £60 million student housing development in Guildford, supported by the University of Surrey, delivering 366 beds across 105 studios and 261 ensuites with vibrant communal spaces.

You will oversee site operations, subcontractors and stakeholders, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, budget control, and high quality while maintaining profitability and client value.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 4, HND or Degree in Construction, Development, Project Management or related discipline.
• SMSTS qualification and CSCS card required.
• Strong understanding of construction build sequence and industry best practice.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee management and coordination of site operations, subcontractors, consultants and stakeholders.
• Develop and present project progress reports internally and to clients.
• Assist in formulating contract programmes and project delivery strategies.
• Ensure design development aligns with programme requirements.
• Manage project risks and communicate risk registers and mitigation plans.
