Job summary

Arup in London is seeking a Principal Construction Planner to lead high‑quality planning and scheduling across design and construction phases of complex infrastructure projects. You will develop programmes from first principles, apply sequencing and phasing, review progress, forecast time and cost, and communicate clearly with multidisciplinary teams.

Primavera P6 experience is essential and you will use planning data to inform delivery decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction planning or project controls for complex infrastructure
• Strong ability to develop programmes, sequencing and phasing across design and construction stages
• Ability to review progress, forecast time and cost, and communicate findings clearly to multi-disciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Develop construction programmes and schedules from first principles using quantities and production rates
• Apply planning expertise across design, construction and delivery stages; review progress and forecast time/cost outcomes
• Prepare constructability and progress reports and advise teams on issues, impacts and mitigations
• Develop phasing strategies and visual planning tools to communicate sequencing and constraints
• Utilise Primavera P6 and other planning tools with understanding of cost and resource loading
