Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead site delivery on defence facilities and secure environments across London and the Home Counties. You will report to the Project Director, running projects with autonomy and ensuring safety, quality, and budget control.

Ideal candidates have front-line experience in secure or defence settings, a CSCS Black Card, SMSTS, and eligibility for UK security clearance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Construction Manager or Senior Site Manager in defence, secure or high‑risk environments.
• CSCS Black Card or equivalent and SMSTS certification.
• Eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC or DV) or already holding it.
• Degree or HNC/HND in Construction Management or related field is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager to plan, schedule and oversee all phases of construction projects.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and to budget.
• Manage risk, quality and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead site teams including subcontractors and direct labour.
• Enforce site safety, security protocols and environmental standards.
• Maintain daily site logs and progress reports.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers and local authorities.
• Oversee permits, licences and security protocols are adhered to.
• Manage budgets, cost estimates and procurement plans in consultation with the procurement team.
• Order materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and compliance.
• Maintain records including risk assessments, method statements and handover documentation.
