VINCI Building is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead a £180m student accommodation project at the University of Southampton. The role requires extensive site leadership, budget control and coordination of multi-disciplinary teams to deliver to programme and financial targets.
You will oversee health and safety, ensure quality, manage information and engage stakeholders, including the client and neighbours, throughout the lifecycle of the project.
VINCI Building has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Construction Manager to play a significant part in supporting the delivery of a £180m student accommodation project at the University of Southampton.
With a build programme to 2029, the scheme includes in excess of 1,500 new student beds, along with refurbishment and the restoration of a Grade II listed building.
Designed to operate emission-free, this project will exceed UK net zero carbon targets, along with a commitment to significantly increase affordable student accommodation.
As Senior Construction Manager, you’ll be able to demonstrate extensive experience overseeing mid to large-scale construction projects from inception to completion. With a proven track record working for a large Main Contractor in the UK, you will lead site teams, manage budgets, ensure safety compliance, and coordinate stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within financial targets whilst exceeding our clients’ expectations.

This is a crucial site based role, therefore applicants must be able to commute to the project in Southampton on a daily basis.
