Job summary

The ideal candidate will have estimating experience in construction, strong communication skills, and the ability to mentor junior estimators while managing multiple tenders and client engagements.

Qualifications

• Estimating experience within the construction sector.
• Ideal candidate from a Tier-1 Main contractor.
• Experience with new-build and refurbishment contracts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Hard worker ready to contribute and learn.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Confident problem-solver able to handle site issues.
• Computer literate with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end tendering process, including take-offs, pricing, submission, and handover.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates using drawings, specs and estimating software.
• Manage and track tender opportunities with timely follow-ups.
• Engage with clients and contractors through site visits and input.
• Collaborate with internal teams, lead handovers and mentor junior estimators.
• Oversee projects up to £20m in value (typical £8m).
