Job summary

eNL Legal in Birmingham seeks an experienced Construction Solicitor (Legal Director) to lead complex contentious matters and advise a diverse client base. You will manage disputes, develop client relationships and contribute to the growth of the construction team.

The role requires a minimum of 6 years PQE in contentious matters, with strong dispute resolution expertise and a commercial, pragmatic approach. You will lead, mentor colleagues and drive business development within the sector.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years' PQE in contentious construction matters.
• Track record handling complex construction disputes.
• Commercial, pragmatic advice with strong business sense.
• Proven client relationship management and BD skills.
• Ability to own matters, mentor colleagues and contribute to growth.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on a broad range of contentious construction matters.
• Manage complex disputes, develop client relationships and grow the practice.
• Advise on construction and engineering disputes.
• Handle adjudications, arbitrations, litigation and other dispute resolution.
• Advise on defects, delays, time extensions, loss and expense, and payment disputes.
• Develop and maintain strong client connections with industry contacts.
• Support business development and generate new work.
