BCL Legal is recruiting an NQ-3 PQE Construction Solicitor for a leading national construction team in Birmingham. This role offers a balanced mix of contentious and non-contentious work with a strong emphasis on developing expertise in construction disputes and client relationships.

You will handle high-quality contentious matters including adjudication and litigation, while having the option to engage in non-contentious work.

We are working with a highly regarded national law firm looking to appoint a Junior Construction Solicitor to join its established and highly regarded national Construction team in Birmingham.

This is an excellent opportunity for an NQ-3 PQE solicitor with a genuine interest in contentious construction work. The role will offer a mixed contentious/non-contentious caseload with a bias towards contentious work.

The Opportunity

You will:

• Work on a high-quality and complex caseload of contentious construction matters, including adjudication and litigation
• Advise clients on construction disputes and provide commercially focused, pragmatic solutions
• Gain experience across a range of dispute resolution methods, including mediation
• Have the opportunity to undertake non-contentious construction work, should you wish to broaden your experience
• Work with a diverse client base including national developers and contractors, leading housebuilders and major housing associations
• Develop strong client relationships and benefit from a good level of direct client contact and responsibility
• Receive regular support, mentoring and development from experienced lawyers across the national team
• Take an active role in business development, networking and marketing initiatives

The ideal candidate will be an NQ-3 PQE solicitor with a genuine interest in construction work. You may be newly qualified or have several years of experience and be ready to take the next step in your career. Ideally, you will have gained experience within a specialist Construction team or completed a Construction seat during your training.
