Job summary

Gillespie Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Construction Development Manager to lead major residential, commercial and mixed-use projects across the North of England. You will own the development lifecycle from planning through to handover, coordinating consultants, contractors and stakeholders to deliver on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years' experience in construction, development or project management.
• Experience delivering residential, commercial or mixed-use developments.
• Strong commercial, budgeting and financial management skills.
• Experience managing contractors, consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation abilities.
• Strong understanding of UK construction processes, planning regulations and building legislation.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage developments from planning approval through to completion and handover.
• Monitor project programmes, budgets and cash flows.
• Identify and mitigate project risks.
• Manage consultants, contractors and supply chain partners.
• Oversee planning conditions and statutory approvals.
• Produce project and financial reports for senior leadership.
• Drive quality, commercial performance and programme delivery.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and regulatory requirements.
