Job summary

Gillespie Recruitment is seeking an experienced Construction Development Manager to lead projects from planning through to completion across the North of England. The role offers strategic influence, autonomous responsibility and exposure to a growing development pipeline.

You will manage the full development lifecycle, coordinate consultants and contractors, monitor programmes and budgets, ensure safety and compliance, and report to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in construction, development or project management.
• Strong budgeting and financial management skills.
• Experience managing contractors, consultants and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Managing developments from planning through to completion and handover.
• Monitoring project programmes, budgets and cash flows.
• Identifying and mitigating project risks.
• Managing consultants, contractors and supply chain partners.
• Overseeing planning conditions and statutory approvals.
• Producing project and financial reports for senior leadership.
• Driving quality, commercial performance and programme delivery.
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety and regulatory requirements.
