Job summary

Retirement Villages Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Head of Construction to lead the successful delivery and completion of our current programme in a nine to twelve month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Property Director, you will drive live construction projects, manage cost, quality, and risk, and mentor the PM team through close-out and handover.

You’ll maintain rigorous governance, coordinate with operations, finance and stakeholders, and ensure projects are delivered on time,

Qualifications

Experience leading complex construction or refurbishment programmes.
Proven ability to close out projects successfully.
Strong knowledge of project controls, contracts, cost management and risk.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication.

Responsibilities

Lead live construction projects ensuring cost, programme, quality and safety meet targets.
Drive completion, handover and close-out of live projects.
Identify delivery risks early and take decisive action.
Manage defects, warranties, final accounts, and procurement.
Oversee refurbishment and improvement programmes across portfolio.
Lead and develop PM team and Head of Refurbishments.
Maintain oversight of budgets, forecasts and commercial performance.
Ensure smooth handover to operations with documentation and knowledge transfer.
