Job summary

Retirement Villages Group is seeking an experienced Head of Construction to lead the delivery and close-out of our construction and investment programme in the UK. Reporting to the Property Director, you will drive safety, quality, time and budget compliance across live projects.

This role requires hands-on leadership, development of the Project Management team, and accountability for cost, risk and commercial performance.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading complex construction or refurbishment programmes.
• Strong track record of completing and closing out projects.
• Excellent knowledge of project controls, contracts, procurement, cost management and risk management.
• Strong commercial and financial awareness.
• Experience managing consultants, contractors and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the live construction projects, ensuring delivery to cost, programme, quality and safety requirements.
• Drive completion, handover and close-out of projects and manage risks.
• Oversee refurbishment and improvement programmes across the portfolio.
• Manage external consultants, contractors and suppliers to achieve outcomes.
• Review design/technical proposals to optimise buildability and cost.
