Job summary

Neo4j in the United Kingdom is seeking a senior software engineer for the Connectors team to design and develop connectors enabling access to the database across cloud and on-prem environments. You will architect, implement, and maintain connectors and streaming/data ingestion APIs to improve performance and usability for customers.

The role requires 5+ years of production-grade software experience, proficiency in Kotlin/Java/Go, and hands-on work with Kafka, Spark/Beam, and cloud warehouses.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing production-level software.
• Experience designing multi-threaded systems and algorithms.
• Hands-on experience with backend languages (Kotlin, Java, Go).
• Experience with cloud/on-prem data processing: Kafka, Spark/Beam, and cloud data warehouses.

Responsibilities

• Be part of designing and architecting connectors for the Neo4j database.
• Build and maintain new and existing connectors for various technologies.
• Design new streaming/data ingestion APIs to make Neo4j faster and easier to use for our customers.
• When necessary, work across teams to enhance core database features.
• Occasionally, build front-ends for connectors or integrations that require user interaction.
