Job summary

RedLaw Recruitment, partnering with a top-tier Global law firm, seeks a Senior Conflicts Lawyer to join the New Business Intake team. The role focuses on shaping conflicts processes and policies and advising partners on complex matters across international offices.

You will lead investigations, guide teams on potential conflicts of interest, and contribute to tech-enabled risk management. Strong experience with SRA rules and international jurisdictions is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified lawyer with 5+ years’ experience managing conflicts of interest within a law firm.
• Familiarity with SRA conflicts of interest rules.
• Experience handling conflicts under international jurisdictions is desirable.
• Ability to deliver effective solutions to an international business.

Responsibilities

• Protect the firm from risk related to conflicts across international and US offices.
• Review and improve conflicts processes and policies on an ongoing basis.
• Serve as escalation point for complex queries within the team.
• Lead internal investigations relating to conflicts.
• Guide Professional Claims team on potential conflicts of interest.
• Advise on conflict-related clauses in bespoke client agreements.
• Contribute to development of technology for managing conflicts and information barriers.
• Design and deliver training on conflicts to the wider firm.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and play a key role in shaping the conflicts processes and policies for the firm, in addition to acting as a key advisor to partners and stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the firm are protected from risk in relation to conflicts, covering the firm's international and US offices


• Reviewing and improving the firm's conflicts processes and policies on an ongoing basis


• Acting as a point of escalation for the rest of the team for complex queries


• Taking the lead on internal investigations relating to conflicts


• Providing guidance to the Professional Claims team on potential conflicts of interest


• Advising on conflict-related clauses within bespoke client agreements


• Contributing to the development and enhancement of technology for managing conflicts and information barriers


• Designing and implementing training for the wider-firm in relation to conflicts

Person requirements:

• Must be a qualified lawyer with 5+ years' demonstratable experience managing conflicts of interest within a law firm


• Must be familiar with conflicts of interest rules under the SRA


• Experience of handling conflicts of interest under international jurisdictions is highly desirable


• Must be able to deliver effective solutions to an international business
