Job summary

Quest Global is seeking a PLM Configuration Management SME based in Huddersfield to manage all design configurations (product, test rig, and software) and ensure compliance with client requirements.

You will administer, maintain and develop change management processes, provide training, and mentor staff while reporting to the Engineering resource manager for function and delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of configuration management principles, concepts, practices and standards.
• Experience with Teamcenter and/or other PLM systems in an administrative capacity.
• SAP awareness / user would be beneficial.
• Understanding of security classification and its impact on PLM functionality.

Responsibilities

• Ensure software configuration meets client internal, legislative and security requirements and aligns with current processes.
• Subject matter expert (SME) on configuration engineering and use of Teamcenter.
• Support the definition and creation of workflows and best practices within Teamcenter.
• Develop and maintain user guides and training material to support the use of Teamcenter.
• Hold regular training sessions with the engineering teams.
• Identify and implement process improvements and drive a continuous improvement culture.
• Monitor and manage licence usage and ensure licence compliance.
• Support cross-functional system integration with other software platforms e.g. SolidEdge, Ansys, SAP, MS Office.

Position Summary

Long term accountability for the configuration management of all designs (product, test rig, and software) at client requirements.

Administer, maintain and develop change management processes as appropriate.

Provide administration and additional PLM implementation support to the business, including training and mentoring.

Reporting directly to the Engineering resource manager for function and delivery as the PLM SME.

Core Duties

Nature of Impact

The role will be instrumental in the ongoing use of Teamcenter within David Brown Defence and the configuration and requirements management of IP for all future projects.

Preferred Qualifications
