Job summary

Murray McIntosh & Associates Limited is seeking a Configuration Engineer on a contract basis for a client project. The role focuses on configuration management, PLM/ERP systems, and CM2-compliant BoM structures. You may bring CAD background aligned with PLM experience to support engineering BOM, CAD/PLM integrations, and change control processes.

The successful candidate will be able to take ownership of tasks, work with minimum supervision, and communicate clearly with the engineering team.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of PLM & ERP systems.
• Engineering BoM knowledge to CM2 standards.
• CAD background with PLM understanding and experience.

Job description

Murray McIntosh are currently seeking a Configuration Engineer to work for a client of ours on a contract basis as detailed below:

Essential

• Proven background within Configuration Management.
• Good understanding of PLM & ERP systems
• Either PLM background with good Engineering BOM & CAD understanding
• Or CAD background with good PLM understanding and experience
• Good knowledge of Engineering BoM structures to CM2 standards

Desirable

• CM2 accreditation
• Experience of working within the defence sector
• Experience using Aras PLM or comparable PLM systems.
• Clear and direct communication skills
• Methodical approach to tasks with an eye for detail.
• Able to take control of workload & complete tasks with the minimum of supervision.
