Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly successful events production team in a fast growth global events business. In this role, you will be responsible for developing best-in-class content, agendas, and customer experiences across events. You will set the vision, commercial value proposition, and strategy based on customer insights, providing clear rationales for your design principles.

You will ensure highly differentiated agendas, secure top speakers, and create immersive experiences, guided by industry research. Building a strong network within your industry, you will act as a recognized figure and work closely with various teams to align on event goals, maximize revenue, and ensure profitability.

Principal Accountabilities
  1. Customer Research and Insight: Conduct research to inform event design and create accessible repositories for insights.
  2. Agenda Development & Strategy: Deliver industry-leading agendas, manage advisory boards, and communicate strategies effectively.
  3. Speaker Recruitment and Management: Recruit and manage speakers, ensuring diversity and adherence to timelines and goals.
  4. Commercial Success and Partnerships: Secure partnerships, monitor revenue, and meet profit targets.
  5. Customer Metrics and Research: Maintain high customer satisfaction scores through ongoing research.
  6. Industry Relationships and Mentorship: Develop industry relationships, mentor colleagues, and create year-round engagement activities.
  7. Post-Event Insights and Analysis: Lead post-event surveys and analysis.
  8. Communication and Coordination: Provide clear briefs and ensure team alignment.
  9. Competitive Landscape and Alignment: Monitor competitors and align events with company objectives.
  10. Event Briefs and Marketing Support: Create briefs and support promotional content.
  11. On-Site Oversight and Innovation: Oversee events and innovate in experience design.
  12. Launching New Events and Content Initiatives: Launch large-scale and content-driven events, exploring new revenue streams.

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate is a motivated, team-oriented professional with a Bachelor's degree (2:1 or above) and 3-5 years' experience in managing large-scale events, preferably within agricultural commodities. Skills include project management, innovation, organization, communication, networking, and digital event design. Resilience, curiosity, and inclusivity are valued traits.
