Job description

Senior Compliance Manager - Monitoring and Reporting – Salary circa £70,000

We have an exciting opportunity for a senior compliance professional to join our newly established Group Compliance Monitoring and Reporting team! This is a fantastic role for a proactive team player with extensive experience working in an FCA regulated environment in a compliance / conduct risk position. A bit about the job:

You will report to and support the Head of Group Compliance and Conduct Monitoring and Reporting and Group Compliance and Conduct Director such that the function operates effectively, adds value and makes a valued and trusted contribution across the organisation.

You will be responsible for supporting the successful establishment and operating of the newly created Group Compliance Monitoring and Reporting team within Group Compliance and Conduct.

As part of the role you will:

  1. Assess the effectiveness of 1st line compliance programs, performing targeted, risk-based monitoring reviews across group functions and producing insightful reports which support the optimisation of controls and delivery of good customer outcomes.
  2. Support the development of monitoring standards and new ways of working, including use of data and technology, which brings benefits to Markets and Group Functions.
  3. Actively support the production of insightful Regulatory Compliance and Conduct reports for the Group Board Risk Committee and Group Customer and Sustainability Committee, and prepare any other reports required for Group Regulatory Compliance and Conduct.
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, to ensure effective collaboration on regulatory compliance and conduct matters. Also, as required, develop and deliver training to employees on these matters.
  5. Support Solvency II compliance reviews, if required.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  1. Experienced Financial Services professional, with direct experience working in / with Conduct and Compliance teams.
  2. Curiosity and experience in developing methodologies and frameworks.
  3. A successful record of performing assurance and / or investigative work as part of a team and drafting meaningful, insightful reports for senior stakeholders.
  4. Experienced in (or curiosity and willingness to learn about) using data to inform and better target our work.
  5. Strong communication (verbal and written), and relationship building skills with the ability to influence decision making.

  • Salary circa £70,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
