Job summary

Pentasia is seeking a senior compliance lead to shape the company’s regulatory approach in a fast-growing start-up. You will own the compliance and KYC framework for sportsbook and online casino, challenging existing processes and developing policies and controls to meet UK obligations.

You will liaise with the UK Gambling Commission, prepare regulatory submissions, and work with cross-functional teams to embed Safer Gambling, AML and KYC controls into day-to-day operations as the business

Qualifications

• Significant compliance and KYC experience within a UK-regulated online gambling operator.
• Current or appropriate Personal Management Licence (PML).
• Strong knowledge of UKGC requirements and LCCP.
• Experience across KYC, AML, CDD, EDD, Source of Funds and Source of Wealth.
• Ability to draft clear, commercially workable policies and regulatory documents.

Responsibilities

• Take day-to-day ownership of compliance and KYC framework across sportsbook and casino.
• Review, develop and implement compliance policies, procedures and controls.
• Oversee KYC, customer risk assessments, CDD, EDD, Source of Funds and Source of Wealth processes.
• Provide senior oversight on complex or high-risk cases and ensure escalation and record keeping.
• Maintain AML and financial crime controls and support risk management across the business.
• Oversee Safer Gambling policies and customer interactions, monitoring and restrictions.
• Act as a senior internal contact for regulatory matters and liaise with UKGC.
• Prepare regulatory reports/submissions to the Gambling Commission in coordination with leadership.
• Translate changes in UK regulation into practical policies and operational changes.
• Collaborate with operations, product, payments and customer-facing teams to embed compliance.
