Job summary

AIG Europe S.A. (U.K. Branch) & American International Group UK Ltd is seeking a proactive Complex Motor Claims Handler to manage a portfolio of Third Party Property Damage and motor claims from cradle to grave.

You will triage inquiries from brokers and customers, coordinate with TPAs and panel lawyers and ensure timely actions ahead of court deadlines. You will work with internal claims teams and stakeholders, apply knowledge of MOJ & OIC portals, regulatory requirements and indemnity

Qualifications

• Proven experience in handling third party motor claims including personal injury, third party property damage and credit hire.
• End-to-end claims procedures knowledge and experience with MOJ & OIC portals.
• Strong written and verbal communication with various stakeholders.
• Detailed knowledge of legal/regulatory environment for motor claims.
• Ability to make informed indemnity decisions on liability and quantum.
• Strong interpretation of policy language for indemnity decisions.

Responsibilities

• Take pro-active steps to manage court documents and coordinate with internal teams, TPAs and panel lawyers ahead of deadlines.
• Liaise with Courts and Claimant Representatives to obtain necessary information for claim involvement.
• Triaging and managing incoming claims enquiries from brokers and customers; provide timely responses.
• Validate and assess coverage, liability and quantum; support cost-effective claim resolution.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal/external stakeholders and monitor file data accuracy.
