NHS Ayrshire & Arran in Scotland is recruiting two permanent Community Charge Nurses for Ailsa Hospital. Post 1: 28.9 hours over 4 days; Post 2: 36 hours Mon-Fri 08:30-17:00 with weekend commitment; from 1 April 2026 full-time hours reduce to 36.

You will deliver high quality nursing services to adults in the community, lead the team, manage caseload, supervise staff, and work as autonomous practitioner within Integrated Primary Care.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration.
• Educated to Degree Level.
• Post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge to lead safety, effectively and efficiently.
• Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of practice.
• Leadership skills to enable the day-to-day management of service delivery.
• Evidence of Continuous Professional Development including study days/courses/post graduate qualification including clinical assessment and non-medical prescribing.
• Excellent team-working/leadership skills and ability to motivate others and work using own initiative.
• Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Effective time management skills
• Working knowledge of basic information technology
• Car Driver with a full, valid UK/EU/EEA licence and access to a car.

Responsabilités

• Deliver an accessible, high quality nursing service to adults in the community.
• Manage caseload including supervision and deployment of staff.
• Lead and support the Community nursing team; be a clinical expert and enable public health activities.
• Work as part of the Integrated Primary Care team and other multidisciplinary groups.
