Job summary

NHS Ayrshire & Arran is recruiting a Community Charge Nurse to deliver high‑quality nursing services to adults in the community from Ailsa Hospital. You will work in partnership with patients, carers and other agencies to provide safe, person‑centred care.

You must be a Registered Nurse with NMC registration, educated to degree level, and have postgraduate expertise. Strong leadership, communication and time management are essential, with a willingness to ongoing CPD.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration.
• Educated to Degree Level.
• Postgraduate expertise within speciality / area of practice including CPD.
• Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards.
• Leadership skills to enable day-to-day management of service delivery.
• Evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality.
• Excellent team-working/leadership skills and ability to motivate others.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high quality nursing service to adults in the community.
• Work in partnership with patients, care providers and other agencies.
• Ensure person-centred, safe and effective care aligned with quality strategy.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care; lead caseload management.
• Supervise and deploy nursing staff; act as an autonomous practitioner within the team.
• Contribute to Integrated Primary Care and public health activities.
