Job summary

The Devon Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a Senior Mental Health Practitioner for a six-month secondment in the Teign Core Adult Mental Health Team. You will join a supportive, dynamic team to deliver high-quality mental health care within the community.

You will manage a defined caseload with assessment and treatment for complex conditions, coordinate recovery packages, and work in a multi-disciplinary environment while prioritising patient safety and recovery principles.

Qualifications

• Essential: professional mental health qualification (RMN, SW degree or equivalent) and registration.
• Desirable: post-graduate qualification related to specialism and leadership training within a core service.
• Essential: substantial experience with complex mental health caseloads in community settings.
• Desirable: experience in multi-agency work and delivering model-based therapy.

Responsibilities

• Manage a defined caseload with expert assessment and treatment for complex mental health problems and their carers.
• Coordinate recovery by designing and evaluating personalised treatment packages.
• Work flexibly within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver safe, timely, caring, recovery-focused services.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, clinical judgement, and risk management across a geographical area.
