Sue Ryder is seeking an Interim Senior Communications Planning Manager to guide internal marketing support and project management within their Marcomms team. The role involves ensuring effective communication across projects and delivering results on time and budget. We have an exciting opportunity within our Marcomms team as our interim Senior Communications Planning Manager.
About the role (for full Job Description, please see attachments):
• To act as an initial point of contact for internal clients ensure that all requests for marketing and communication project support aligns with organisational objectives and are briefed within required timescales.
• Set up and oversee project working groups ensuring the correct MarComms representatives are present the project timelines remain on track and internal stakeholders are appropriately managed.
• To deliver training to members of the Marcomms team in relation to managing effective working groups, communication plans, project plans, RASCIs and evaluations, in line with best practice examples.
• To create a prioritisation process which enables management of the team’s capacity and facilitates detailed and informed push back to the leadership team, when necessary.
• To ensure that projects are delivered on time, on budget and at pace.
• Oversee the provision of an integrated communications service that delivers consistent messaging across all projects, internal and external audiences and channels.
About you:
• An appreciation and understanding of all marketing and communications disciplines (marketing, brand, PR, digital, internal and corporate communications)
• Experience of working in a marketing and communications role in a large and complex organisation, ideally within the voluntary sector.
• Naturally collaborative and enjoys working across teams and bringing people together.
• Experience of planning and project managing B2C and B2B communication campaigns on time and within budget.
• Experience of translating marketing and communication briefs into tactical delivery plans by channel, audience and budget.
• Matrix management experience with demonstrable experience in senior stakeholder management.
• Keen attention to detail, a creative approach, good negotiation skills, high level of written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
• Interest in/awareness of current affairs and how this can impact an organisation’s approach to campaigns and messaging.
